Plotted amidst fragrant vineyards and orchards along the shores of Lake Michigan, Suttons Bay's surroundings are a feast for the senses. Tours and tastings are available at several nearby wineries, and State Route 22, the link between Suttons Bay and Northport, is dotted with farm markets and antique shops. From fresh seafood to homemade fare and ethnic cuisine, Suttons Bay's array of restaurants and specialty food stores are sure to entice visitors. Sweet aromas linger in the hilly terrain at the Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms golf course, which features two holes that wind through a working cherry orchard. In the summer Suttons Bay hosts Jazzfest and the Suttons Bay Art Festival, and in September the city attracts visitors eager to sample food and wine at the annual Harvest Stompede. After a day of shopping and exploration, take in a movie at The Bay theater, which features a schedule of Hollywood blockbusters, international and independent films, concerts and plays.
